Shirley Damon, CPF, owner of Damon Galleries Ltd., has 
received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from
the national Professional Picture Framers Association.  The organi-
zation honored its brightest and best with the annual awards
presented during the PPFA Convention on January 31 in Las Vegas. 
Shirley  earned the honor during a long career of service in the
picture framing industry.  She is past President of the National
Capital Chapter of the PPFA and an ex-officio member of the Board
of Directors, an accredited judge for international framing competi-
tions, and serves as a Director on the National Board of the PPFA. 
Shirley also received the Service Award in 1993, given to those who
have had an impact on the picture framing industry through  
special contributions both locally and nationally, and is the only
PPFA member so far to have been awarded both honors.
